Review by hotel critic
Just returned from a week at Portofelice, a place that really captures that summer vibe. We rented a chalet which felt homey and comfortable. The whole area is easily accessible, and having a supermarket nearby made grocery runs a breeze—perfect for families. The highlight for us was the pool area. It strikes a good balance—big enough for fun yet intimate enough that you can easily keep an eye on the kids. We opted for sunbeds away from the little ones; the tranquility was appreciated after a long day of exploration. The dining options are decent, though the restaurant's sit-in surcharge nudges your bill a bit higher than I'd like. The takeaway option is a smarter choice for value hunters. We loved the beach, just a stroll through a forest away. A minor downside was the mosquitoes; they caused quite a few bites and dampened our experience somewhat. If you’re seeking value over high-end luxury, Portofelice provides a solid option for families. Just come prepared with repellents!
